All About Ottomans!

Ottomans are great design staple in my work for many reasons.  They are versatile, functional furniture pieces – playing multiple roles in your home.  They provide a great respite for your tired feet in addition to serving as an extra seat when you entertain!   Ottomans are available in all shapes and sizes, with or without legs, sometimes skirted, modern and traditional!  The possibilities are endless!  Ottomans are a fun way to show off your own personal style in your home!

The ottomans featured below are all covered in fabrics by Schumacher!  These are fun, small and easily portable.  They are also a great way to add a punch of color and/or pattern and whimsy to a room.

On the other end of the spectrum is the custom Spyro Bench below from Lewis Mittman.  Deco in style, the  leg can be done in a myriad of finishes and the bench can be upholstered with or without nail heads.  We chose a sleek and elegant black patent leather for the upholstery in this space.   The cork-screw detail on the leg really adds a funky vibe to this piece.

Below is another DCI studio bedroom featuring the Star Stool by Lewis Mittman.  This ottoman possesses a fun hexagonal shape that is truly unique!  Upholstered in a high chroma blue mohair, it is a showstopper.

  1. Love, love love ottomans. I have two surrounding my tall bar in my living room that serve as storage for pillows and a large leather one in my family room. Put a tray on it and it’s not a cocktail table!!

  2. I meant it’s “now” a cocktail table.
